NHL 11
So, another game I have been playing a lot is NHL 11 from EA Sports. I have to say it is, honestly, the best video game I have ever played. I've been a fan of the franchise since my arrival at BSU. My roommates got me into it and I've been hooked ever since. The best thing about this game has to be the realism displayed. Everything about the game has a realistic quality- the hitting is more difficult than the previous games, the fighting is amazing, the passing and shooting are all based on precise aiming and, oh yeah, the sticks break! I mean, come on! If this game was any more realistic you'd have to wear a winter coat and gloves to play. 17 thumbs up! Check it out.

TV on the Web
One thing I love to do is watch television. Ever since I was old enough to get out of bed and walk into the living room and watch Saturday Morning cartoons, I've been going strong on my TV watching. But while at school, I've taken watching TV to another level; I now watch TV episodes on the internet. Now, I know it's been around a long time and people've been using it forever, but I just wanted to bring it up because it's my blog. I don't want to give away the name incase it's illegal, but blankblank.com is great.

Newspaper
I saw a newspaper today. I did not read it. All I did was look at it and think, "That's a form of media." Since this blog is supposed to be about media communication, I thought I'd let everyone know that I saw a piece of communication media in the form of a paper. That is all.

COD
So I want to call attention to the video below. I have recently started to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and I am awful. I have seen some good players in my day, but none of them could pull off what the kid in the video did. I don't know if it was just luck or if he is one of the best COD players in the world. If the case is the latter, then he must play this game a lot. I'm talking, like 4 hours of sleep, 1 hour of eating, and 19 hours of game play. If this is the case, is the shot still epic or a little bit said?
Yeah, still a nasty kill.
Yeah, still a nasty kill.

Tweeting. WTF
I don't understand Twitter at all. I know a couple of people who have twitter accounts and all I want to know is- why? Maybe it's just the type of person I am, but I don't see the importance in knowing what sandwhich Shia Lebouf had for lunch or telling everyone I benched 500 lbs. I can't bench 500 lbs. Only 205 (irony again). The fact that people care about letting everyone know at every second of everyday what they're doing and then in turn caring what other people do, is a little upsetting. If you really need people to know you bought the cutest pumps yesterday, just wear them around. If they really are as cute as you said on twitter, people will most likely say something like, "Cute pumps" and maybe even ask you about them. You then can go off about how they were on sale and stuff like that. You will then have had a real live human interaction, instead of: "OMG!!! Just bought the cutest shoes at payless... hit me up!! :)" or whatever girls say on twitter. Now I'm not trying to bash women in this post; I love women. I just used that as an example, so I don't want a bunch of angry comments, alright. What I do want, though, is to know why people Tweet. Quite frankly, I'm lost on the whole topic.

Blog
So this is my first blog ever. I have to do this for a class and most likely, if you're reading this, you're in said class. Our blog posts can be about anything as long as they pertain to media communication.
I've always heard the word 'blog' and never really gave it a thought. I've always thought they were stupid (I mean no offense to the professor in any way) and never thought I would have one. But, from what I have come to learn, many people have blogs. I've read a couple blogs while doing research and didn't know they were blogs. I guess they can be helpful in some cases. They probably make their authors feel important, as well.
By now you've probably (should have) come to the realization that this post is ironic. This blog post had to have something to do with media and blogs are apart of media. I thought I'd have some fun with this. So for those in my class, feel free to reply. And for those not in this class, carry on and maybe try and get a life. I mean, what are you reading random blogs for? Seriously.
